"Like" is kept to a minimun, but "cool" and "awesome" pop up with boring regularity even in the conversation of the over-50 crowd. It's hard sometimes to understand what a group of teenage girls is talking about, with that dreadful word "like" appearing three or four times in a single (incomplete)sentence. "Wow, he's -like - totally - you know - cool -like. He, you know, like - you know - looks at me and I'm like - wow! Totally awesome, you know!" This is not an exaggeration.
