I had a look at the updated site, and my eye was caught by the link to a Russian AR site. I clicked on this and on the English translation. Towards the bottom, there was a tantalising link to a British Pathe newsreel about a famine in Samara which AR had helped produce. Unfortunately the link didn't work, but I went into the Bristish Pathe site and searched on famine and Russian and found something that might have been it.
However, the point is, that you can search a vast number of clips from the British Pathe library, going back to silent days. I used the search the archive facility inputting words like Coniston, Windermere, Lake District and Norfolk Broads, and came across some fascinating newsreels about sailing on Windermere in the 30's, holidays on the Broads, hound trailing - all sorts really. Well worth a look - most are about 1.5 minutes long.
