I feel like reading through the canon again but in what order?

Just whatever you like.

I remember, in 1948, my parents started reading 'Swallowdale' to me. Basically, in the next several years we/I worked through the whole lot, in no particular order. I simply can't remember which ones I preferred, but I know that now I do have my favourites and at 70 they are different from the ones I liked best when I was eight... Just as well, I guess.

Just start with the one you remember liking most, or that for whatever reason you feel most like reading now. For me, that's usually WH. I say 'usually' because I've done this a number of times. And my usual order, after WH, is PM, then PP... I suspect I fell in love with Dorothea, but that's as good a guide as any. Just follow your joy.

Also, read connected books; 'Racundra's First Cruise' is a great read. So is Christina Hardyment's 'Arthur Ransome and Captain Flint's trunk'.

Unless you are determined to do the job in an 'official' way, just pick and choose. Gad about. Go for pure fun and entertainment. After all, however much they cost him to write, that's what AR wrote them for.
