I love Port & Starboard--their names, right- and left-handedness accordingly, the fact that they are twins, their loving relationship with the "AP", their equally loving but teasing relationship with Mrs. McGinty. I thin they are one (two?) on AR's finest side characters, and I always greatly enjoy their parallel river voyage in CC. I also wish they could have been involved in BS, but they'd have sort of taken over the leadership role if they were, and then Dorothea wouldn't have had her wonderful blooming into a Sherlock Holmes!

For my two cents, CC & BS are two of AR's better books--lovely plots, all those river twists & turns, wonderful people in that setting, suspense, and finally great endings.
