There is a PayPal *phishing scam active at present.
It starts with an e-mail headed 'Account Management' which is apparently from
PayPal (though on closer inspection the e-mail of the sender is clearly wrong).
There is then a link which takes you to an update page. (On closer inspection
the URL for the update page is not on the PayPal domain, though at first
glance it may appear to be so.)
I'm embarrassed to admit that I had got as far as filling in my CVC code. The
next field asks for you PIN number. At this point the penny finally dropped!
If I had pressed the 'Submit' button my personal banking details would have
gone to the fraudsters.
Take care. Replying to such rogue e-mails could be very expensive!
