Perhaps, I should add that despite having been to two grammar schools, (one of them called a High School) my grammar is still grim!
Also, applying a bit of elementary research, after clicking 'send', I learn that LEAs and county secondary schools date from Balfour's 1902 Education Act, not Butler's 1944 Act.
