There is a great article with color pictures about this village in the May 1937 National Geographic Magazine for you who are lucky enough to have a library with National Geographic Magazines going back that far
And for anybody with an internet connection, Googling Bekonscot beings up a wealth of material, including lots of pictures and a lovely movie of a trip round the model railway. At track level it's so realistic that the occasional view of giant humans above is quite startling.
