I don't know if this has been shared on Tarboard or similar forums before, but it's an interesting read. I suggest looking at the section on "skating on Windermere" which I feel AR is likely to have read. It has the same story of the hotpot falling through the ice, for example.
It's interesting to me because of my nagging feeling about Belle Grange and Beckfoot... (said feeling being the reason I stumbled across it) but it's well worth a read!
