Some 36 hours after I raised a support ticket with Lulu, I received the following e-mail.

Thank you for contacting Lulu Support concerning your Ebook purchase.
The Ebook you have downloaded is DRM-protected and requires that you
have Adobe Digital Editions installed and registered on a PC/Mac in order
to be downloaded and read. Once you have done this, you will be able to
open the Ebook purchase on up to 5 other devices, including your iPad
and/orAndroid tablet devices. Adobe Digital Editions is not available on
these devices so you will need to install a different App, Bluefire Reader,
in order to open and view your Ebook purchase. More information on
Bluefire reader and where to get it can be found at the following link:

The proper steps on transferring and viewing your Ebook purchase with
Bluefire Reader can be found at the following link:

Bluefire reader requires that you have an existing Adobe ID, make sure
you have downloaded, installed, and registered your Adobe Digital Editions
before proceeding with your Ebook download.

Now it only remains for me to write a proper review of the book unless some other
TarBoarder get in first!
