Well, while I might understand the reason Adam, I cannot really condone it -- it sounds a bit like leaving out every fifth scene from a Shakespeare play. It would be quite clear to anyone reading the book that it couldn't be completed in anything like one hour, even reading to oneself let alone reading it out loud for others to listen to. Under the circumstances this sounds like a venture that should never have been attempted.
In double the time one could possibly do something with it, perhaps.
