Here's a picture of the head of the Lake. I think the NP was somewhere this side of the leafless tree just to the left of centre, near the edge of the green paddock and in line with the three easternmost of the nine moored boats. (Thanks to Tony Richards of LakelandCam for this picture. On the right is the river up which the Ds sailed when they went to buy the cookery book.)
This concrete plaque was erected to mark the spot.
Perhaps Rob or some other local can tell us the exact location -- at least of the plaque if not of the NP itself.
