Yet another flying "Swallow." Shortly after the War the British de Havilland Aircraft Company built the DH 108 "Swallow." This was a fast, tailless, experimental jet aircraft. It crashed in September 1947, killing the pilot, Geoffrey de Havilland Jr.
Fortunately, there were no fatalities when the original Swallow hit Pike Rock.
