I've always been impressed by the natural springs of the Malvern Hills. They flow continuously whatever the weather at an altitude of over 270metres, while the surrounding country side is well below 100ms. It's about 30m on the Worcester side of the hills, 70 or so on the Hereford side. There has to be a full aquifer with some pressure behind it miles away to keep it going.
Of course the geology under the lakes is quite different, but strange things do happen.
