Yes, and apparently Swallows and Amazons was "written be Ranson". Do you think they used voice recognition software and didn't check it?

I suspect that it's just a typo, or maybe something written by somebody in the Estate agents' office who knew the sound of Ransome's name but had never read the books. Which is a species of voice recognition if you like. And there it was, forever public in the brochure.

I've done worse, myself; making a 'Horizon' on climate change, I produced a name caption describing somebody as being from the 'Univeristy of East Anglia'. I saw it typed in, and several of us saw it many times as we painted in the archive material and did a final check before transmission. And out it went. Seen, according to the audience ratings, by something like a million and a half people. Nobody complained- including the chap concerned.

But I've never forgotten it.

In the brochure picture, is the house in the top of the picture Bank Ground Farm? Or is it somewhere else? Hard to tell from the Goggle Maps image- Street View especially, which was surveyed on a remarkably grotty day of driving mist and rain. Not what you'd call S&A weather.
