Mike, I agree saying that somewhere or other is exactly like Swallowdale or Beckfoot is not terribly helpful. But posting a link is beyond me I'm afraid. If you can beg or borrow a copy of "Arthur Ransome Master Storyteller" there is a colour pic on p 136 or "Arthur Ransome and the World of the Swallows and Amazons" there is a b/w pic on page 90.
I like the play on words head-foot.
