I find this interesting, that permission was given for films or TV after Evgenia's death. Surely in the spirit of the Ransome Estate(which refuses on principal any request to use the characters created by Ransome in any sort of sequel)film and TV rights should also be included. After all, any filmmaker worth his/her salt freely adapts book characters and introduces new ones.But then, I guess some rules are made to be broken, whatever the quality of the finished product.
And yes, there is a touch of sour grapes here!
