Hilary - I understood there was sailing on Weston Turville Res. but this is not far from you and you will have more accurate information than me. I am out of the area now – I hope I have not misled anyone. Also possibly one of the Tring Reservoirs, subject to rules as to non-polluting paintwork and no engines? The point I was making was that sailing can be found in places where you don’t expect it.
I realise that TARS is, on the face of it, a literary society, but sailing could be such a ‘growth area’. Regional committees often ask what sort of events people would like, and here is an obvious answer. (Ian Wright's message points the way ahead.)
