He comments upon the desirablility of owning a first edition of the book in order to have all of the
"evocative illustrations" by Fred Taylor. I've got a first edition -- the first American edition, 1907,
Dodd, Mead & Company. It has illustrations by Fred Taylor but not a whole lot of them; I've never seen
the original and don't know if this version was stripped down for America or not.
