and previously in P&M

Nancy: "I never would have thought she had it in her."

Timothy: "She's your aunt, you know."

Also if Bob Blackett died in the Great War or soon after (supported by the impression that Peggy seems to have no memory of him) it would not have been possible for to teach his daughters to sail. In any case S&A establishes that Amazon (and probably the sail training) was accquired from Jim Turner the previous year.
