According to Roger Wardale, in "In Search of Swallows & Amazons", AR originally planned to give the Amazons a younger brother, Tom - aged three at the time of S&A. This would mean that Bob Blackett cannot have died until the mid-1920s. Perhaps AR was wise not to specify his fate ?
