Speaking of children's sailing books--Does anyone have a definitive list of the books by Aubrey de Selincourt (around the 50's as I recall)-- sailing set in Essex/Colchester (?)
-- they are prob out of print, but since secondhand books are so easily accessed these days, I'm getting interested..
There was also at least 1 book (another author) set in Gairloch (Scotland)with a wartime, 'gas-bag' powered car in it.
Both were mentioned in a recent AR-derivative book, but I was too lazy to write down--
