Just thought I might comment that we have had about 3 weeks of minus 20 weather (apart from a blizzard -- an "Alberta Clipper" -- just before Christmas which dumped over a foot of snow on us.) Superior is frozen as far as the eye can see. Really must get down to my proposal for an International TARS Winter Holiday here one February -- short pants mandatory, of course.
