I have one question. You said that "Garibaldi" was a company name making squash fly biscuits. But I also heard that "Garibaldi" is used like a ordinary noun now.
Actually some ARC members have found "Mcvities' Garibaldi" or something like that. Also I found a Japanese cake shop selling homemade "Garibaldi".
So I guess that it was originally a company name, and it became so popular that people began to call squash flies "Garibaldi". Is that right?
