The 2002 Georgia Tarsus Event continues to develop. Mother Nature has provided enough rain to fill Allatoona Lake to almost three feet above normal summer pool level. There were more than 150 coots on the lake yesterday (April 6th)along with many pairs of Canada geese, Mallards, and other birds...including a pair of comorants!

The Lake should drop down as summer approaches, but the water level should remain at a nice level for sailing, fishing, swimming, and other activities.

Bruce and Allen expect to be back with their families. I've also been in contact with another family that may be coming down from Virginia.

Sweet Water Park lost many pine trees due to borer infestations over this last year, but our camping area around site 44 is not affected.

I invite you to go to the URL below and visit the website. If you're in our neck of the woods, come on out and join us.

Jim
