Gale Research publish several seris of books on authors:
“Contemporary Authors” and other seris on adult authors.
“Children’s Literature Review”
Arthur Ransome is in Vol. 18 pages 141-184.
“Something About the Author” (children’s authors):
“Something About the Author: Autobiographical Seris” which in the index has several references to Arthur Ransome’s books by other children’s authors:
Susan Cooper (Vol 6) born 1935
had her “Over Sea, Under Stone” eventually published by Cape;
she says “I’d always wanted to be published by Cape, their
elegant little urn-shaped colophon had graced all the Arthur
Ransome books I had treasured when young”.

But a search for “Gale Research” turned up several website addresses for Gale Research (now of Farmington Hills Michigan, formerly Detroit Michigan) and its parent Thomson Learning. They were among the first few (fortunately) of the 20k or so sites found:
