Hullo folks, thought some of you might be interested in this...

I came across an interesting book cover for Swallows and Amazons
the other day on an ebay auction. I emailed the vendor, and they
very nicely sent me a larger version of the scan.

It is from a 1958 "Reprints Society" edition, in New Zealand.
The cover contains a drawing of the lake. What is interesting
is that the artist greatly increased the size of Wildcat Island,
with respect to the lake, and also turned it around 180 degrees,
such that the secret harbor was pointing north!
