It may be worse than Malcolm thinks. In 1997 the Charity Commission revised their Regulations and their Statements of Recommended Practice (SORP). The CC accounting requirements are now much tighter. It is possible that TARS would have to present their annual accounts in a completely different way. An eagle eye would be cast on such things as Bookstall receipts etc. That doesn't mean that TARS should not investigate the charity position, but I imagine our Nat. Treasurer might have some views on the matter.
