Yes I had trouble with the Isihara (?) test, the one where you see a number in all the coloured-dots. You are meant to see one number if your colour vision is normal and another if you are red-green colour blind. I couldn’t see any number, but as I could pick out the colour-coded plastic insulation of the wires in a multipair telephone cable that was OK for working with the Post Office (which then ran the New Zealand telephone system)!

I can identify the difference between red and green traffic lights, and NOT just by the red being at the top. Don’t think that the red and green glass trick would work when you are driving though!

Any evidence for AR being colour-blind? Perhaps his other health problems ruled out solo yachting?
