We sailed a Heron (which we christened Swallow) and had memorable sailing experiences on the Broads and on northern reservoirs. Our Windermere sailing was done on a Scorpion (Amazon). OK so we weren't very original with our boat names... Fun though the Scorpion was it resulted in a few too many dunkings for the original Amazon - the Heron was much more like it - almost impossible to capsize!!!
