Is that the Pittwater near Hobart Tasmania?
When I was very young, younger even than Roger, my aunt and uncle lived in a house that ran down to the water at place called Penna. I think this connects to Pittwater. They had a boat, provenence unknown, which made my Uncle Peter a thoroughly proper uncle in my eyes, almost on a par with Captain Flint. We had some good sails too, the most memorable being from Coles Bay over to Moulting Lagoon which included landing on a desert island and surfing over a bar.
But I never saw a pirate ship sail through the islands and although the settings were, perhaps, more exciting than in S & A I always thought my own adult dominated adventures pale compared to those in the books.
Ah the human condition eh?
