'feeling quite remote from TARS organisational issues'
Mike and Bob: Believe me, many TARS members in the UK feel that also! It is due to the way that TARS is structured, and because, as often happens in small societies, the same small circle of people hang on to power.
The answer is NOT to resign, but please hang in and make your views known. Shout! If enough of us shout, we may get somewhere. I wasn't joking when I said 'Paul Flint for Chairman'. I do not know Mr Flint personally, but his message about airing of views was such a welcome change from the usual 'it is not appropriate for members to express views on Tarboard or Club Hut'. (Anyway, with a surname like that he's got to be favourite for the job.)
Do please express your views about TARS, and the way it ought to be going, on Club Hut, where a debate about the Development Committee Proposals is under way.
(I am a long-standing member of TARS, but not a member of the ruling Board or of any regional committee)
