How about the “Scarab” that the “D’s” and Amazons launch in PM? With a funny insect on her flag, according to the boatbuilder (it is an an Egyptian Scarab, because of their father's interest in Egyptian archaeology). Made in the local boatyard, a copy of “Amazon”.

Nancy says in SA they only got “Amazon” from Uncle Jim fairly recently, so she was probably new from the same lake boatyard that also repaired “Swallow” in SD.

“Swallow” is owned by the Jacksons at Holly Howe, so could be older, and cuold also be an older type of sailing dinghy. John learnt sailing from his father on Falmouth Harbour years ago, so is a much more experienced sailor than Nancy & Peggy.
