The largest-scale map I have handy is 1:25000 which shows Peel Island to be about 45 by 22 metres or 50 by 25 yards (150 by 75 feet). Hard to measure precisely when the island on the map is so small but that's not a long way off. It is so rugged it gives the impression of being larger when on it.

Coniston Water is 8.5 km (5.25 miles) long and about 650 metres (700 yards or 2100 feet) at its widest.

AR was not limited by real geography, but for the record those are the relevant figures.

(This is being typed overlooking a lake 450 miles long and 150 miles wide -- wonder what AR would have made of that?)
