Re-reading PD, I came on the part where Peter Duck talked about Pelorus Jack, "the fish that used to pilot vessels into Sydney Harbour". I remember reading abouy Pelorus Jack as a kid growing up on the northern beaches of Sydney. I was under the impression that Pelorus Jack was a dolphin (not a fish) that guided ships into a port in New Zealand, possibly Wellington. Perhaps some Kiwi could clarify this for me. No anti-Oz comments, please. Remember who holds the Bledisloe Cup (for the moment.)
