On S and A mother talked about covering a burn with butter, ( after escaping from a savage's pot) More seriously: Roger talked about his burn, in Pigeon Post, being covered with butter. I am far from being an expert in first aid, but I thought this was the last thing you should do. Obviously A.R was not trying to deceive his readers, so, I presume this practice was considered normal in the 30-40's. any ideas?
