Bully beef - yes, tinned corned beef. I can recall elderly relations calling it that.

Rich juicy plum cake - this is any rich fruit cake, just as the Christmas "plum pudding" seldom contains plums.

Seed cake - well, you can still cook it! Shall I dig out my grandmother's recipe and post it? Basically a sponge cake; unlike plum cake it doe not keep well. Very much an item for the traditional English tea table.

Duck eggs - yes, I have. There was a bit of an issue with these because, as I recall, the shell is slightly porous, unlike a hen's egg, so they are more liable to become infected, and there was a scare, which, as so often with food scares, lingers in people's minds.
