Help -- will someone with access to their copy of Missee Lee (mine is in the back of the garage with thousands of other books awaiting library renovation) please send me the text of the Latin rhyme Missee Lee had inside her Primer. I can remember the first couplet (I think): "Hic liber est meus/Testis est deus" but the rest eludes me. My children (17, 15, 12 and 10) have all decided that they would like to learn some Latin and, since none of our schools teach it, I have undertaken to struggle through some of the elementals with them. I have a binder for each of them to keep their work in, and I thought it would be a nice touch to add Missee Lee's rhyme ... but what is it?! I made up a final couplet which I think is grammatical and more or less conveys the sense, but it isn't the real thing. Any help?
