Lets see if John really is guilty of piracy as the Customs official at tyhe end of WDMTGTS suggests. One action I am thinking of that he ought to have tried is heaving too: once he got a good offing out by the Cork he ought to have hoive to. Now we know, from the scene later picking up the pilot that he didnt know jow to, but I reckon we can get him on this, since they knew how many hoots to hoot the foghorn [Remember Peter Duck said Titty] and PD had a good description of heaving-to.
Does the defence have anything to say on this? I would especially like to hear from some expert witnesses on the crew of Nancy Blackett
