Ed, I think Peel Island is National Trust property. In any case one can certainly land there; I've done it more than once, both at the Landing Place and the Secret Harbour. (The latter is exactly as described and illustrated in the stories.) I think one is not supposed to camp there, but I know TARS and probably many others have done so, and I don't know how long the restriction has been there if indeed it exists, and if so precisely what it prohibits.
