Ch 1 certainly coolly asked the executioner to do a good job,I think it was de rigeur at the time, but I don't remember reading that the job was botched. Whereas Geofrey of monmouth in the premature rebellion against James 2, suffered about 5 hacks before loosing his head!
The shots of Suffolk cam are superb! They took me back to my last holiday in that area. At night when we moored up away from the pubs and peace descended, it was amazing the quantity of bird life that turned up. I'm not a natural ornithologist but after a week on the broads I was becomng a dab hand at spotting and naming the various breeds. I felt quite coot clubish. My favourite was the ridiculous looking great crested grebe - a real river punk!
