Following the hint on the Janson AR on Video page (found at http://www.arthur-ransome.org/ar/arvideo.html) I looked at the amazon.co.uk site and searched for "Swallows and Amazons".
Yes, they do sell the 1974 film on VHS priced at 8.99.
However, a second item revealed by the search was a tape with two films on it - "The Railway Children" as well as "S&A". And the price of this VideoDouble pack? Also 8.99!
I duly placed an order and sent off the payment on 5-July and the packet dropped into my letter box here in NZ on the 23rd.
Interesting to note that "The Railway Children" features juvenile versions of Jenny Agutter and Sally Thomsett (sp?)
And another advantage to living in NZ - something called VAT wasn't included in the price I had to pay and it is apparently 17.5pc! :-)
