I seem to remember a mention (perhaps in BS - perhaps from Harry Bangate) about certain of the broads being chained off (presumably at their dykes)to prevent boats from entering. I associate this with the changes that the D&Gs had with Harry about changes to the Broads and that it was seen as a wildlife protection measure. Am I dreaming all of this?
