Peter H. was asking about double enders. As far as I know, a double ender is pointed at both ends with the forward end being more pointy than the aft end. Here, a double ender is often said to have a canoe stern. My Taiwan-built cutter was a double ender, and at 20,000 pounds displacement, considered heavy.
