There was discussion about John’s watch recently.
Nancy’s watch is mentioned twice in SW, and the first reference says that it is a wrist watch:
In Chapter 13 (Mastadon Island: hb page 159)
“Good idea” said Nancy and unstrapped her wrist watch and then, fastening the buckle ...... “
Later in Chapter 29 (Packing Up: hb page 344) they say:
“Here’s Nancy’s watch. Hang it on the totem so it won’t get forgotten”
Earlier “Haven’t got a watch” said John, “mine’s still in Ipswitch being mended”. And Susan says that she has left her alarm clock behind in Goblin. So they make the Sundial - or Meal-dial as Roger calls it! (Chapter 5, Marooned; hb page 60).
