There was a discussion recently on Tarboard about 'squashy' hats. I am glad to say that an advertisement appears in today's Telegraph (UK Daily Telegraph, Saturday 14 Sept) for a 'Hand Made Wool Fedora'. It is made of 'wool felt' and is offered in black or brown. It is described as 'warm and comfortable' and (note this) 'crush resistant'. The hats are, it is claimed, made by 'the skilled craftsmen and women of Ecuador'.
OK, so Jim and Timothy were apparently near Pernambuco in E Brazil, but hey, it's South America. These are authentic 'squashy hats', surely, and are priced at £29.95 inc postage. Should not the TARS Stall buy in a few?
