At the risk of boring everyone to death, I must explain (briefly!) what I meant by 'Things have moved on'. The article of mine which Peter Roche referred to advocated central administration of the Arthur Ransome Society. In 1999, the TARS Development Committee was set up, which looked into the whole question of regional autonomy and central control. The Dev Comm proposals were voted on by the entire membership, and the overwhelming vote was to retain the present regional structure. Therefore I have no wish to resuscitate my article, and it is now a footnote in TARS history.
And now can this be an end to this matter, please.
