I'd still also like to know what they did about sanitary arrangements on the island. Washing, certainly teeth, was gone into in detail but...

And re: Alan's experience with the rabbit skinning, one of the things I really enjoyed about the UK was the un-preciousness with health regulations. Unlike NZ, there was no hysteria about dogs in pubs, and whole furry or feathered carcases were often the norm inside(or out) butcher's shops.
