This is yet another totally untrue slur, and part of Peter R's private feud against TARS. Mixed Moss, for instance (the TARS literary journal) contains very few errors indeed. I should know - I proof-read it each time, along with a team of 4 or 5 others (including Alan Hakim, to whom my thanks for his information below). TARS has a very high standard of publishing, which is why it is a shame that 'Jibbooms' was spoilt for a hap'orth of tar. Nevertheless it is a book well-worth having for any Ransome fan.
