Let us presume that we delete Peggy from the Stories. A simple deletion.
No Peggy - no duck call in the SA's. Nancy is caught in the river, Titty does not get to hear the thiefs, no bird given to Titty - which ruins the SD story ofhiding in the cave.
There is a famous line about "For the want of a nail:"
AR spoke with a voice to him that voice included Peggy. I can not ask him why she is necessary to the story , but I think in her way she is as important as all of them.
