Sunday Times Theatre review 19/12/10 was very positive.
at risk of copywrite I'll quote some:

Some of the songs were a bit slow, when what we really wanted, like the fearsome Nancy Blackett, was fighting. But the livelier second half was terrific, especially when we were given rubber balls and shuttlecocks to throw at the actors. I asked my young niece Elsa if she preferred the Swallows or the Amazons: 'Both'.
No expensive sets or sound effects.
Instructions for parents. Pack your children off on a sailing trip without adult supervision - especialy if they can't swim. Make sure they take plenty of cakes, biscuits and sugar. And give them knives at every opportunity.
Niece Elsa (6) says: 'I thought it was all brilliant and would give it 5 stars'.
(Written by Christopher Hart).

If you want to access the Times/Sunday times online you have to register and pay a nominal fee (£1.00 I think). It's nice to see the stories still appealing to children in the C21st. no matter what the format they are presented in. it might encorage some or them to go out and get the books.
